For my final project in Transducer Theory, I chose to create a bass cabinet for my old bass amplifier. I had to select the driver, choose the dimensions, build the enclosure, and finally test the audio response. It was a good chance to get a better understanding of how frequencies travel through different spaces, how ports can tune the subharmonic response, and how to build a bass cabinet from scratch! I couldn’t have done this project without the help of Lorenzo Lanaro and Sam Courtney.
